Abstract - This research was a comparative study of the Ethics proficiency between the formal study in the classroom and the study via Siam Technology College’s CAI online. The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) to compare the Ethics proficiency of  the pre-test period  and the  post-test period between  groups of students who studied in the formal classroom and the students who studied via CAI online; 2) to compare the difference of the Ethics proficiency of the post-test period between groups of the students who studied in the formal study in the classroom and the students who studied via CAI; 3) to know the validity of the Ethics proficiency of the students who studied in the formal study in the classroom and the students who studied via CAI online ; and 4) to study the students’ satisfaction towards the Ethics study via   CIA online.
The subjects were undergraduate students of the four years normal course and the four years transfer credits course of Siam Technology College, Bangkok, Thailand, belonging to all faculties, fields and courses, who were registered to study the Ethics in the first semester of the academic year 2012. The second group were 75 first year students of two branches of the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Accounting. They were assigned to study via CAI online, by using computers to learn lessons online. The instruments used in collecting data were 1) the Ethics proficiency tests of the pre-test and the post-test each having 20 questions; and 2) questionnaire on students’ satisfaction towards the Ethics proficiency via CAI online. The used statistics were descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics including T-test.
The results of research were found as follows:
1.The Ethics efficiency entitled “The Morality and Roles and Duties of Students” of the first group of students who studied in the formal classroom and the second group of students who studied via CAI online, had statistic difference between the pre-test period and the post-test period at the level of average .05; and two groups of students had a higher level of average in the post-test than in the pre-test period.
2. The results of the comparison of difference of the Ethics efficiency entitled “The Morality and Role and Duties of the Students” between the students who studied in the formal classroom and the students who studied via CAI online, were found that the second group of students who studied via CAI online  had a higher level of average than the first group of students who studied in the formal classroom.
3. The validity of the Ethics proficiency entitled “The Morality and Roles and Duties of Students” who studied in the formal classroom had the level of average 0.41; which meant that the students in this group made a progress in the study in 14 percent increase. The validity of the Ethics proficiency entitled “The Morality and Roles and Duties of Students” of the students who studied via CAI online had the level of average 0.53; which meant that the students in this group made a progress in the study in 53 percent increase.
